Devin I. Cresce, a 28-year-old resident of Beckley, West Virginia, has been sentenced to seven years and eleven months in prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentence includes an additional four years of supervised release.

Court documents reveal that on July 13, 2023, Cresce sold approximately 53 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $500 outside the Crossroads Mall in Mount Hope. He admitted to this transaction and further sales involving methamphetamine and fentanyl throughout July and August 2023.

On August 10, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Cresce's residence. They seized about 94.5 grams of fentanyl and 63 grams of methamphetamine. Cresce acknowledged his intent to distribute these substances within the Southern District of West Virginia.

Cresce's criminal record includes previous convictions for embezzlement, fraudulent schemes, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston praised the Central West Virginia Task Force for their investigative efforts. Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk delivered the sentence while Assistant United States Attorney Brian D. Parsons prosecuted the case.
