The court system seeks individuals with strong technology and grammar skills who are capable of making verbatim records of trials using audio recording equipment. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to judicial officers, editing legal documents for accuracy, coordinating communications between the judicial officer and other parties, maintaining case files, performing courtroom duties such as sound checks and managing software during hearings, among others.
Candidates must possess knowledge in secretarial practices, legal terminology, office systems, word processing software, court rules, procedures, basic law principles; along with skills in recordkeeping, legal research, written communication; physical requirements involve light exertion up to 20 lbs occasionally.
