Devontay Brian Johnson, a 29-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, has been sentenced to four years and nine months in prison. This will be followed by three years of supervised release for his involvement in the distribution of fentanyl.

Court documents reveal that on August 3, 2022, Johnson sold approximately 20 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant. The transaction took place in a vehicle parked along Wilson Place in Huntington. During this exchange, Johnson was seen holding what appeared to be a semiautomatic rifle.

The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston, who praised the investigative efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers handed down the sentence. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley C. Shamblin.
