Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced the arrest of William Strength, a former employee of Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25, in connection with possession and distribution of child sexual exploitation material. The arrest by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force occurred on April 29, 2025. Strength, 43, faces eight counts of possession and two counts of distribution of child sexual exploitation material (CSAM).

According to a spokesperson for School District 25, Strength, who did not have direct contact with children in his position, had his employment terminated following his arrest. Strength was arraigned on April 30, 2025, with bail initially requested at $300,000 by the state. However, the court set bail at $50,000, payable by cash or surety.

Attorney General Labrador emphasized the importance of these investigations, stating: “These allegations highlight the importance of our ongoing partnerships with law enforcement and school districts. We remain committed to supporting these investigations and protecting children from online threats.”

The arrest was made with the cooperation of several law enforcement agencies, including the Chubbuck Police Department, Pocatello Police Department, Idaho Falls Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Individuals with information on child exploitation are urged to contact local police, the Attorney General’s ICAC Unit at 208-947-8700, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678. The ICAC Unit, in partnership with a coalition of federal, state, and local agencies, is dedicated to investigating and prosecuting such internet crimes.

Resources for parents, educators, and law enforcement are available on the ICAC website, ICACIdaho.org. The charges against Strength are accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
