Attorney General Ken Paxton has requested documents from Plano Independent School District officials. This action follows information on possible connections between the school board and the East Plano Islamic Center, affiliated with EPIC City.
The Attorney General's Office received reports on comments by Plano Mayor John Muns, discussing a potential dialogue between Plano school board officials and individuals at EPIC. This follows Paxton’s earlier requests for records from city officials in Plano, Richardson, Wylie, and Josephine related to the ongoing investigation into EPIC City.
“My office is demanding documents from Plano ISD officials who may have communicated with individuals involved with EPIC City as part of our ongoing investigation into this development,” Paxton stated. “We will thoroughly review the records we receive and hold anyone who violates Texas law accountable.”
