The Meeker County Court is set to offer free weddings during this year's Watercade event. These ceremonies will occur at Litchfield Central Park on July 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

"Weddings are an incredibly special moment for couples and I love officiating at them," said Judge Stephanie Beckman, who devised the plan to provide free weddings at Watercade. "It will be an honor to perform the ceremonies in such a beautiful and fun setting."

Interested couples need to register via email at watercade.weddings@courts.state.mn.us. They must also have a valid marriage license and bring two witnesses to the event. There are no residency restrictions within Meeker County; all Minnesota residents are welcome to participate.

"We know this is a big step for many, so we’re here to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible," Judge Beckman stated. "We’re excited to add a little extra love and celebration to Watercade this year."

Additional details and a flyer can be found on the Meeker County Website.
