The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has reported the sentencing of Lee Edward Redman, a 52-year-old resident of Edmond, Oklahoma. Redman was sentenced to 120 months in prison for one count of Attempted Coercion and Enticement.
This case emerged following an investigation carried out by the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Redman had pleaded guilty on November 7, 2024, to attempting to use the internet to entice an individual he believed to be under 16 years old for sexual activity. The investigations found that between October 21 and October 24, 2022, Redman started contacting an account appearing to be that of a young female. However, this was part of an undercover operation conducted by Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators.
Upon learning that the supposed target was 15 years old, Redman arranged a meeting for sexual intercourse. Deputies arrested him on October 24, 2022, in the parking lot of a Muskogee mall where he planned to meet the intended victim.
Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing hearing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Redman will stay in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his sentence, which is not eligible for parole.
The case was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Morgan A. Muzljakovich.
