Roberto Ceja, Jr., a 33-year-old resident of Lexington, Nebraska, has been sentenced for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. Acting United States Attorney Matthew R. Molsen reported that the sentencing occurred on April 16, 2025, in a federal court in Omaha, Nebraska. United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Ceja to 66 months in prison with no possibility of parole in the federal system. After his release, Ceja will undergo a 3-year term of supervised release.

The case was part of a Title III wiretap investigation that involved Ceja’s cell phones. Authorities intercepted communications between Ceja and co-conspirators discussing narcotics and meetings under surveillance. During the investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted three undercover drug buys from Liban Mohamud Adan, who was supplied by Ceja. Ceja was found responsible for distributing 88 grams of methamphetamine in Lexington.

In a related case, Liban Mohamud Adan pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge involving 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and was sentenced to 120 months in prison, followed by a 5-year supervised release.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Nebraska State Patrol, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement were involved in the investigation, which was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation. The OCDETF program aims to dismantle high-level criminal organizations using a collaborative, prosecutor-led approach.
