The Hyrum Judicial Nominating Commission has announced the shortlist of four nominees for the upcoming justice court judge position that will serve Hyrum, Mendon, Paradise, and Nibley, Utah. The new appointee will take over from Judge Paul Larsen, who is set to retire this June.
The nominees for this position are:
- Sean D. Brian, J.D., an Attorney at Law from Harrisville.
- Trevor L. Cook, J.D., an Attorney at Law and current Justice Court Judge in Rich County, residing in Nibley.
- Brody E. Flint, J.D., an Attorney at Law from Honeyville.
- John Hulbert, J.D., an Attorney at Law residing in Hyrum.
There will be a period for public comments until April 26, 2025. Afterward, Stephanie Miller, the Hyrum City Mayor, will have 30 days to select the final candidate. The selected individual must then receive ratification from the Hyrum City Council.
