Brian Titman, a 46-year-old resident of North Platte, Nebraska, was sentenced to 235 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Susan M. Bazis in Lincoln, Nebraska. Following his incarceration, Titman will undergo a ten-year term of supervised release. An additional sentence of 15 months was added, related to a previous supervised release violation, to be served consecutively.
Titman had a prior conviction in 2017, resulting in 60 months' imprisonment for distributing methamphetamine. After his release, he violated the terms of his supervised release, leading to a warrant for his arrest in March 2023. Over the following year, Titman evaded law enforcement in Nebraska, often fleeing at high speeds, resulting in dangerous pursuits being called off due to public safety concerns.
On March 15, 2024, a citizen identified Titman's vehicle, prompting law enforcement to attempt another stop. Titman, accompanied by two passengers, fled once more. During the chase, occupants discarded meth, personal items, and ammunition from the vehicle. Authorities recovered 6.3 ounces of meth from the vehicle and an additional 11.5 ounces from a nearby field where Titman and his passengers were apprehended after fleeing.
The total amount of methamphetamine recovered exceeded 600 grams. The Nebraska State Patrol and the CODE Task Force conducted the investigation.
