Marc H. Silverman, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, Anish Shukla, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the New Haven Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour announced the charges against four individuals related to the sex trafficking of minors in Danbury.

The accused include Oswaldo Ordonez-Ortega, 39, Marco Robles, 40, Edwin Quilli-Tacuri, 40, and Bryan Ismael Vasquez-Salinas, 23, all with connections to the area. The charges were filed following an investigation that began in February 2025, led by the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force and Danbury Police.

On March 11, 2025, law enforcement executed a state warrant in Danbury where they discovered two minor victims. All four men and a fifth person were arrested. Ordonez-Ortega was reportedly coordinating the commercial sexual activities involving the minors and received payments from other men, a portion of which went to the victims. On specific dates, multiple appointments for sexual encounters with the minors were scheduled.

Additionally, it is alleged that Robles caused physical injury to one of the victims during an encounter. The defendants are charged with sex trafficking of children, carrying a minimum sentence of 10 years imprisonment to a life term. Ordonez-Ortega and Vasquez-Salinas face additional charges, including attempted sex trafficking of children and conspiracy.

Robles and Quilli-Tacuri were arrested on federal charges and appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Dave Vatti in Bridgeport. Ordonez-Ortega and Vasquez-Salinas, currently in custody under different circumstances, are to be presented in federal court at a later time.

Silverman emphasized that the charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The matter is being investigated by the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, the Danbury Police Department, along with other agencies, and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Daniel E. Cummings and Mary G. Vitale.

Silverman also extended thanks to the State’s Attorney’s Office for the Judicial District of Danbury for their cooperation. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a Department of Justice initiative targeting illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations.
