Dale Jetton has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for the distribution of child pornography. The announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick D. Robbins and Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Tatum King. The sentence was issued by Senior U.S. District Judge Edward M. Chen.

Jetton had pleaded guilty on August 22, 2024, to the charge of distribution of child pornography under 18 U.S.C. § 2252(a)(2). The charge followed an indictment by a federal grand jury on August 29, 2023. According to the plea agreement, Jetton exchanged emails starting in March 2023 with an individual who was, unknown to him, an undercover law enforcement officer. Jetton was found to have shared a link to a cloud service containing over 700 megabytes of child exploitation materials. This link included 38 videos that depicted minors in sexually explicit conduct. Jetton admitted awareness that these videos involved prepubescent minors or those under the age of 12, with at least one video involving sexual bondage.

In addition to being sentenced, Jetton will also serve 15 years of supervised release following his imprisonment. Jetton was in custody since his arrest in 2023 and will begin his prison term immediately.

Assistant United States Attorneys Roland Chang and Sophia Cooper are prosecuting the case. The prosecution was supported by an investigation conducted by the Homeland Security Investigations, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the San Francisco Police Department.
