Nathan Thomas Foreman, a resident of Henderson, Nevada, has been sentenced by United States District Judge Gloria M. Navarro to 10 years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release. Foreman was convicted for engaging in sexually explicit conversations with someone he believed was an 11-year-old child and for the possession of child sexual abuse material on his phone.
Court documents revealed that on April 5, 2023, Foreman engaged in a text messaging conversation with an individual he believed to be an 11-year-old girl. During this exchange, he discussed sexual topics, requested explicit photos, and was arrested on April 6, 2023, at a planned meeting location. A subsequent forensic analysis of his cellphone exposed 10 images and 12 videos containing child sexual abuse content.
United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada stated, “The defendant not only attempted to coerce and entice who he believed to be an 11-year-old girl to engage in sexual intercourse with him, but he also possessed child sexual abuse material of infants and toddlers.” Additionally, Special Agent in Charge Spencer L. Evans for the FBI Las Vegas Division remarked, “Today's sentencing reflects our unwavering commitment to pursuing justice for our most vulnerable victims."
Foreman pleaded guilty on October 1, 2024, to one count of coercion and enticement and one count of possession of child pornography. In compliance with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, Foreman is required to register as a sex offender.
The case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Afroza Yeasmin. It was part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative initiated by the Justice Department in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse.
