A Lexington resident, Chase Allen Barnett, 39, has been sentenced to 200 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell. The total quantity involved was 197.299 grams of fentanyl and 379.894 grams of methamphetamine.
Under federal law, Barnett is required to serve 85 percent of his prison sentence. Following his release, he will be under the U.S. Probation Office's supervision for eight years.
The sentence was announced by Paul McCaffrey, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; John Nokes, Special Agent in Charge, ATF, Louisville Field Division; and Commander Kalan Perdue, Gateway High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force.
