A Minnesota man, Lance Wayne Anderson, has been charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, according to an announcement by Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick.
The court documents indicate that, from March 2022 to September 17, 2023, Anderson, aged 58, allegedly conspired with others to distribute methamphetamine in Minnesota. The indictment charges him with a single count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Anderson made his initial appearance in U.S. District Court before Magistrate Judge Leo I. Brisbois on March 24, 2025.
“Minnesota is awash in deadly methamphetamine,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick. “This poison makes its way to every corner of our state. We are grateful to the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office for their partnership to ensure that Anderson—who trafficked deadly methamphetamine to Wilkin County—sees federal justice.”
The investigation into this case was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Campbell Warner is handling the prosecution.
It's important to note that an indictment is merely an allegation, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
