A Clearfield, Pennsylvania resident has been sentenced to 80 months in federal prison followed by six years of supervised release due to his involvement in methamphetamine trafficking. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced the sentencing of Toby Coker, 50, which was handed down by United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan.
Court documents revealed that from July 2019 to June 2020, Coker was involved in a conspiracy in the Western District of Pennsylvania to distribute and possess with intent to distribute over 500 grams of a methamphetamine mixture. In February 2020, Coker was caught distributing methamphetamine, facilitated by a federal wiretap.
Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon prosecuted the case. The Drug Enforcement Administration, along with Pennsylvania State Police, led the investigation. Acting U.S. Attorney Rivetti acknowledged their efforts and those of several other agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Postal Inspection Service, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, among others.
This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, a program that targets high-level drug traffickers and criminal organizations by using a coordinated approach involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
