Matthew Lamp, 29, from Coventry Township, Ohio, has been sentenced to 130 months in federal prison following his guilty plea to the transportation and possession of child sexual abuse material. U.S. District Judge David Ruiz handed down the sentencing on March 11, 2025. Lamp admitted to charges of transporting visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possession of child pornography. He has also been ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution to the victims associated with the images he possessed.

Court documents indicate that federal investigators conducted a search of Lamp's residence in February 2024, leading to the seizure of a cellphone and other electronic devices containing child sexual abuse material. It was discovered that he had more than 2,000 images, including those of prepubescent minors, toddlers, and content involving sadistic or masochistic conduct.

The investigation was carried out by the FBI's Akron Field Office, and the case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Dangelo for the Northern District of Ohio.
