Theresa Marie Lipkey, a 43-year-old resident of Petersburg, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to charges related to the possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The incident occurred during a traffic stop as she traveled from Morgantown to Petersburg, leading to the discovery and seizure of 129 grams of methamphetamine.
Lipkey now faces a potential sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison. Her final sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force, which operates under HIDTA funding.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the proceedings.
