Ravia resident pleads guilty to failure to register as sex offender

Joses Ric-e Beck, a 37-year-old resident of Ravia, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the plea.

Beck was previously convicted on August 12, 2008, in the State of Oklahoma for making lewd or indecent proposals to a child under sixteen. This conviction required him to register as a sex offender. However, from August 30, 2023, until December 20, 2023, Beck did not comply with registration requirements while moving within Indian country in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case was investigated by the United States Marshals Service. The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered, and Beck will remain in custody pending sentencing.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessica Bove and Morgan Muzljakovich are representing the United States in this case.
