These actions are in response to complaints that accuse these institutions of illegal discrimination against women and girls.
Title IX prohibits sex-based discrimination in educational programs or activities, ensuring privacy and safety in settings like locker rooms. The investigations stem from complaints filed by the Defense of Freedom Institute and Liberty Justice Center. The allegations include claims that school administrators pressured female students to share intimate spaces with a biological male student, actions deemed inconsistent with Title IX's intent.
