Omar Wynn, a 32-year-old resident of Schenectady, New York, received a 60-month prison sentence for distributing a controlled substance. The announcement was made by United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III and Frank A. Tarentino III, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), New York Division.

Wynn confessed to selling 1,500 fentanyl pills and 8.6 grams of cocaine base. The fentanyl pills were marked with "M30" to resemble oxycodone tablets. At the time of these offenses, Wynn was on state probation due to two previous felony cocaine convictions.

United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino also mandated that Wynn serve four years of supervised release following his imprisonment and forfeit $3,000 he gained from the sales.

The DEA led the investigation with help from the Schenectady Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan S. Reiner handled the prosecution.
