A Colombian national residing illegally in the United States has admitted guilt to a federal charge related to an armed robbery at a Beverly Hills hotel. Jamer Mauricio Sepulveda Salazar, 22, pleaded guilty to interference with commerce by robbery under the Hobbs Act. He has been detained since August 2024.

Court documents reveal that Sepulveda acted as the getaway driver during the August 7, 2024, heist at "THE Blvd," a restaurant within the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. During this incident, two unidentified robbers held a victim identified as "T.A." at gunpoint and stole a Patek Philippe Nautilus wristwatch valued at approximately $1 million.

Sepulveda and his co-defendant, Jesus Eduardo Bryan Padron Rojas, 20, from Venezuela, had scoped out the area two days prior to identify T.A.'s watch, which they valued at $1.3 million. The crew also encountered another individual in Beverly Hills wearing a $30,000 Rolex wristwatch that was subsequently stolen at gunpoint.

The group stayed in an Airbnb and possessed several firearms during their activities. Among these weapons was a Glock .45-caliber handgun previously registered to former Los Angeles Police Officer Christopher Dorner.

United States District Judge Otis D. Wright II has set July 14 for Sepulveda's sentencing hearing. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.

Charges against Padron are still pending. The investigation involved Homeland Security Investigations along with police departments from Beverly Hills and Blythe, California.

Assistant United States Attorneys Jena A. MacCabe and Kevin J. Butler are handling the prosecution of this case.
