Yasmin Charisse Millett, a 22-year-old from Oakland, has pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery. This announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Michele Beckwith.

Court documents reveal that between June 2023 and September 2024, Millett and her coconspirators executed at least ten bank note robberies across various California cities, including Sacramento, Vallejo, Suisun City, Benicia, Concord, and Antioch. Millett's role involved recruiting individuals to enter banks or credit unions equipped with sunglasses, a purse, and a threatening demand note. These notes typically instructed bank employees to hand over money or face threats such as "I will kill everyone in here."

On July 17, 2023, Millett and two accomplices used a stolen white Audi A7 with dark tinted windows for a robbery at a credit union in Suisun City. Millett provided instructions on how to carry out the robbery while waiting in the vehicle. Her accomplice entered the bank with a demand note threatening violence if the employee did not comply. After receiving money from the employee, the accomplice returned to the getaway car where they divided the stolen cash.

The following day, law enforcement stopped the stolen Audi A7 with Millett driving. They discovered bait money from the previous day's robbery in Suisun City and found a crumpled post-it demand note on the driver's seat containing further threats.

Charges are still pending against codefendants Dontae Jones Jr., 20, who has no fixed address in Northern California, and JoMya Mauriyne Futch, 21, of Richmond. Both remain innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

The investigation was conducted by FBI field offices in San Francisco and Sacramento with assistance from several local police departments and agencies. Assistant U.S. Attorney Whitnee Goins is handling prosecution duties.

Chief U.S. District Judge Troy L. Nunley will sentence Millett on June 26, 2025. She faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine; however, her actual sentence will be determined based on statutory factors and Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
