Applications are now open for a justice court judge position in Box Elder County, Utah. The new appointee will succeed Judge Kevin Christensen, who has resigned.

Candidates interested in the position must meet several criteria: they must be at least 25 years old, a U.S. citizen, and have been a resident of Utah for at least three years. Additionally, candidates should hold a law degree that qualifies them to apply for bar admission in any U.S. state. Residency in Box Elder County or an adjacent county is required upon appointment or before assuming the role.

Applicants need to complete an application form available on the court's website. The salary range for this position is between $153,475 and $197,325 annually. According to Utah law, the Judicial Nominating Commission must present at least three nominees to the Box Elder County Commission within 45 days of its initial meeting.
