A Kyle, South Dakota man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for his involvement in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier handed down the sentence to Milo Shot With Arrow, age 51, on March 7, 2025. Following his prison term, Shot With Arrow will serve three years of supervised release and pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

Shot With Arrow was indicted by a federal grand jury in March 2024 and pleaded guilty on November 13, 2024. His conviction is linked to a large-scale methamphetamine distribution operation on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City, South Dakota. Misty Hornbeck and Nathan Tobacco-Clifford supplied the drugs to Shot With Arrow and his codefendants Malcom Shot With Arrow, Ruben Clifford, and Tasha Rooks.

The group made trips to Colorado to obtain substantial quantities of methamphetamine from Hornbeck and others. On other occasions, Hornbeck delivered the drugs directly to Tobacco-Clifford and others in South Dakota for further distribution by multiple individuals including Shot With Arrow. Between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine were distributed during this criminal enterprise.

The cases against Shot With Arrow's codefendants are still pending.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI along with the Badlands Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force, which includes agents from several agencies such as the FBI, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Drug Enforcement, Martin Police Department, and Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety. Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Knox prosecuted the case.

Following sentencing, Shot With Arrow was immediately placed into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service.
