Damon Lee West, a 45-year-old resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for distributing methamphetamine. This announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case against West was built following an investigation conducted by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the Okemah Police Department, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

West entered a guilty plea on July 23, 2024. Investigators reported that on September 20, 2023, he knowingly distributed approximately 28 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine, classified as a Schedule II controlled substance.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. West will remain under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a designated facility within the United States Bureau of Prisons system to serve his sentence, which does not allow for parole.

The prosecution was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Satter.
