A Marlborough man, Ricardo Guzman, also known as "Killin," has been arrested on charges related to cocaine trafficking. The 38-year-old was charged with one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. Guzman was taken into custody on March 5, 2025, and appeared in federal court the following day.
The charging documents allege that on January 6, 2025, a source purchased 499 grams of cocaine from Guzman in Marlborough, Massachusetts. This transaction was reportedly recorded both audio and video. On March 5, 2025, the same source allegedly arranged to buy three kilograms of cocaine from Guzman for $75,000. It is claimed that Guzman was seen leaving his residence with an unknown male carrying two large buckets and placing them in a truck bed. The men drove a short distance before Guzman switched to his own vehicle, a red Volkswagen.
Guzman then allegedly drove alone to a parking lot near the planned meeting location in Marlborough. He was followed by the truck carrying the buckets. At the parking lot, authorities took Guzman into custody and found approximately half a kilogram (500 grams) of suspected cocaine on him. A search of the truck revealed about three and a half kilograms of suspected cocaine in the buckets.
The charge for distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release up to life, and a fine reaching $1 million. The charge for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more mandates a minimum five-year sentence up to 40 years in prison, at least four years supervised release up to life, and fines up to $5 million.
The announcement came from United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Jodi Cohen, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Boston Division. They acknowledged assistance from various agencies including the U.S. Postal Inspection Service’s Boston Division and local police departments from Hudson, Marlborough, and Stoneham. Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Mackenzie Duane is handling prosecution for this case.
This arrest is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations through coordinated efforts among multiple agencies.
It is important to note that all details within the charging documents are allegations; Guzman remains presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt in court.
