Attorney General Dave Sunday has expressed concerns over the potential closure of Crozer Health System in Delaware County. In a statement, he described the situation as "an avoidable travesty" and emphasized the importance of exploring all options to prevent such an outcome.
Sunday acknowledged the presiding judge's decision to convene all parties for a meeting on Sunday afternoon, stating his gratitude for recognizing the urgency of the matter. He affirmed that his office is committed to taking necessary actions to preserve the healthcare system.
"Our office remains fully engaged in doing what it takes to save this healthcare system, and we hope all parties are considerate of the immense harm inflicted by a closure," Sunday said.
He urged those involved to approach the meeting with a focus on finding solutions rather than engaging in "posturing or grandstanding." According to Sunday, "the impacted communities that depend on Crozer Health System deserve good faith efforts to keep care and services in their backyard."
