A Pittsburgh resident has entered a guilty plea in federal court for crimes related to drug trafficking and firearms. Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti announced the development.
Marvin Tymous, aged 25, admitted guilt before United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan. The charges included conspiracy to distribute cocaine between September and December 2023, as well as possession of a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime on December 15, 2023.
Judge Horan has set the sentencing date for June 25, 2025. The law stipulates a minimum sentence of five years and could extend to life imprisonment, along with a possible fine up to $1 million. The actual sentence will depend on the severity of the offenses and any prior criminal history of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Craig W. Haller is handling the prosecution for this case.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation that resulted in Tymous's prosecution.
