Cornelius Green, a 37-year-old resident of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for a firearm offense. The sentence was handed down on February 27, 2025, by United States District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani. Green was charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that Green had pleaded guilty to possessing a Kel-Tec, Model RFB 18, caliber .308 semi-automatic rifle. This firearm had been transported in interstate commerce while Green was aware of his previous conviction for a crime punishable by more than one year of imprisonment. The five-year sentence will be served consecutively to an earlier seven-year sentence related to Green's brandishing of a firearm during a robbery.
