Muskogee residents plead guilty to federal drug distribution charges

Muskogee residents Christian Deion Larance Smith, 27, and Kaleel Montrel Smith, 26, have pleaded guilty to federal drug charges. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma confirmed that both individuals admitted guilt to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

The indictment stated that on July 25, 2024, the defendants knowingly possessed substances containing detectable amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine, both classified as Schedule II controlled substances.

This case resulted from a collaborative investigation involving the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the Muskogee Police Department, the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Department, and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police Department.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted their pleas in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. He has ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed. Kaleel Smith is currently in custody under the United States Marshals Service awaiting sentencing. Meanwhile, Christian Smith remains out on bond until his sentencing date.
