Marc H. Silverman, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, and Stephen P. Belleau, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England, have announced the arrest of DaQwon Graham, also known as "Seagull" and "Energy," a 30-year-old resident of Ansonia. Graham was apprehended on charges related to fentanyl trafficking.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Graham has been identified by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Task Force and Stamford Police Department as a major distributor of fentanyl in Fairfield County. Investigators linked his activities to two overdose deaths: one involving a male victim in Branford in March 2023, and another involving a female victim in Shelton in October 2024. In early 2025, multiple controlled purchases of fentanyl were conducted with Graham.
Graham was arrested on February 26, 2025, on High Ridge Road in Stamford. At the time of his arrest, it is alleged that he had approximately 400 grams of fentanyl in his possession.
Following his arrest, Graham appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Dave Vatti in Bridgeport and was ordered detained. The complaint against him includes charges of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and could result in up to 40 years imprisonment. He is also charged with using a communications device to facilitate a drug trafficking felony, an offense that could lead to a maximum sentence of four years.
Acting U.S. Attorney Silverman emphasized that the complaint is merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. He reminded that charges are allegations until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
The investigation is being handled by the DEA’s Bridgeport HIDTA Task Force with personnel from various police departments including those from Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford, Stratford as well as the Connecticut State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lauren C. Clark is prosecuting the case.
