Jalen Pearson, a 31-year-old resident of South Bend, Indiana, has been sentenced to 97 months in prison. United States District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty handed down the sentence following Pearson's guilty plea to distributing five or more grams of methamphetamine. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Tina L. Nommay.

In addition to his prison term, Pearson will undergo four years of supervised release. Case documents reveal that in June 2023, Pearson distributed approximately three pounds of high-purity methamphetamine for nearly $7,000.

The investigation into this case was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), including the DEA North Central Laboratory, with support from the Indiana State Police and the Mishawaka Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Katelan McKenzie Doyle prosecuted the case.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF focuses on identifying, disrupting, and dismantling high-level drug traffickers and criminal organizations threatening the United States through a collaborative approach involving federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
