Broken Bow man pleads guilty to child exploitation charge

Dylan Hansen Yazzie, a 28-year-old resident of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to the charge of sexual exploitation of a child. This announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The indictment accused Yazzie of coercing or inducing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct between July and September 2023. The purpose was to produce a visual depiction for transmission in interstate or foreign commerce. The incident took place in McCurtain County, within the Choctaw Nation Reservation boundaries.

The investigation leading to these charges was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Broken Bow Police Department.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Yazzie's plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered, and Yazzie will remain under the custody of the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Caila M. Cleary.
