A woman from Washington, Missouri, has been indicted for allegedly embezzling over $100,000 from her former employer. Victoria Isgriggs, previously known as Victoria Denise Missey, faces two counts of bank fraud and four counts of wire fraud. She was arrested and is expected to appear in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to plead not guilty.
According to the indictment, Isgriggs, 44, served as an office manager and accountant at a Franklin County nursery and florist from November 26, 2023, through April 29, 2024. The indictment accuses her of using a company bank account and credit cards for personal expenses such as credit card debt, cell phone bills, utility payments, and rent. It also alleges that she used company credit cards for personal purchases including luxury items and airfare.
The indictment seeks the forfeiture of jewelry along with Christian Louboutin footwear and Louis Vuitton bags and accessories.
It is important to note that charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations and do not constitute proof of guilt. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Secret Service in collaboration with the Washington (Missouri) Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Roy is prosecuting the case.
