Alexzandra Blanco, a 24-year-old resident of Norfolk, Nebraska, has been convicted by a jury for her involvement in a conspiracy to distribute fentanyl that resulted in serious bodily injury. The trial concluded on February 12, 2025, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, with United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher presiding over the proceedings.

Acting United States Attorney Matthew R. Molsen announced the conviction and detailed that Blanco was found guilty of both conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. As part of the verdict, Blanco is required to forfeit $4,200 and a 2019 Dodge Ram truck as drug proceeds. She faces significant sentencing with a mandatory minimum of 20 years and up to life imprisonment for the charge related to serious bodily injury and another mandatory minimum of 10 years up to life imprisonment for the drug conspiracy charge.

The events leading to Blanco's conviction began on March 17, 2023, when she and her boyfriend, Tremain Monroe, were celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. After gathering at an apartment in Norfolk around 2:00 a.m., Blanco provided fentanyl to an individual who subsequently overdosed but was revived using Narcan. Following this incident, law enforcement conducted controlled purchases of M-30 fentanyl pills from Monroe in April 2023.

A search warrant executed on May 3, 2023, at the residence shared by Monroe and Blanco led to the seizure of 221 fentanyl pills along with drug paraphernalia and over five pounds of methamphetamine.

Monroe pled guilty to charges similar to those faced by Blanco and received a sentence of 210 months in prison.

Blanco is scheduled for sentencing on May 14, 2025, before Judge Buescher in Omaha. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
