Two individuals have been indicted following the unsealing of Multi-County Grand Jury charges in Oklahoma City. The cases involve separate allegations related to marijuana distribution and illegal gambling operations.
Andrea McNelly, 34, has been charged with three felony counts, including distributing a controlled dangerous substance (CDS - marijuana), possessing CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of unlawful proceeds. McNelly was reportedly operating a marijuana dispensary named the Gas Station Dispensary at 9903 S.E. 15th Street in Midwest City without an active license. This lack of proper licensing led to unlawful sales of marijuana. In Oklahoma, dispensaries must be licensed by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority and registered with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics to legally possess marijuana.
In a different case, Zhong Chen, 56, faces one felony count of commercial gambling. He is accused of running an unauthorized casino at 3100 N. Classen Blvd. in Oklahoma City, where he allegedly accepted bets and installed gambling machines.
Attorney General Gentner Drummond commented on the indictments: "These indictments showcase the ongoing efforts of the Multi-County Grand Jury to address a range of criminal activities in our state," adding that their work reflects "a commitment to upholding the law and protecting the wellbeing of our communities."
