Salvador Madrigal-Sanchez, also known as Salvador Madrigal Sanchez, Jose Martinez Sanchez, and Jose Sanchez Martinez, has been sentenced to 36 months in prison. The 73-year-old Mexican national was charged with one count of unlawful reentry of a removed alien.
The investigation leading to this charge involved the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, and the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office.
Madrigal-Sanchez pleaded guilty on May 3, 2024. According to investigators, he was found in the United States on October 3, 2023, after being deported four times previously.
Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Madrigal-Sanchez will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his non-paroleable sentence.
