The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced that Mitchell Inscho, a 36-year-old resident of Belvidere, New Jersey, has been sentenced to 180 months in prison. The sentence was handed down by United States District Court Judge Karoline Mehalchick for Inscho's involvement in an attempted online enticement of a minor.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that between July 17, 2023, and October 26, 2023, Inscho used the internet and his cell phone to engage with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old child. He requested sexual conduct and images of child pornography from this individual. During this period, Inscho sent obscene photographs of himself through social media to the purported child.

On March 13, 2024, Homeland Security agents executed a federal search warrant at Inscho’s residence in Belvidere. The search led to the seizure and analysis of his cell phones and computers. Forensic examination revealed approximately 150 images of child pornography on his devices.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project involves collaboration among federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children while also identifying and rescuing victims.
