Attorney General Ken Paxton is intensifying his efforts to ensure compliance with Texas laws regarding women's athletics. His office has initiated investigations into Hutto Independent School District (ISD) and Richardson ISD, following previous document requests from Dallas ISD and Irving ISD.

The investigation was prompted by reports that officials at Hutto ISD and Richardson ISD may have suggested ways to bypass state regulations, allowing biological males to compete in girls' sports. "The woke school officials endangering female athletes and trying to undermine girls’ athletics by letting boys compete should know that there will be consequences for all unlawful activity," stated Attorney General Paxton. He emphasized the importance of reviewing documents to assess whether these actions represent a broader effort within the districts to disregard the law.

Keyawna Glaze, Hutto ISD’s Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, reportedly informed parents about potential "workarounds" for a male student wishing to participate in girls' sports by altering his birth certificate. Meanwhile, Angie Lee, Richardson ISD’s Executive Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, allegedly told a parent that a male high school student could share accommodations with female students during school trips and indicated the district's allowance for male participation in girls' sports.
