U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans has announced the indictment of Feliciano Solano-Olea, a 42-year-old Mexican national, for illegal reentry into the United States after deportation. The indictment was issued on February 6, 2025.

According to court documents, Solano-Olea reentered the U.S. on December 10, 2024, following his previous deportation on July 20, 2011. If convicted, he faces up to two years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, one year of supervised release, and a mandatory $100 special assessment fee.

Evans emphasized that an indictment is merely an accusation and that guilt must be established beyond a reasonable doubt.

The investigation was conducted by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Enforcement Removal Operations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Katherine Kaufman from the General Crimes Unit will lead the prosecution.
