Anthony Allen, a 38-year-old resident of Rosenberg, Texas, received a federal prison sentence of 188 months for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy. Allen was identified as the leader of an operation distributing methamphetamine, cocaine base, cocaine hydrochloride, fentanyl, and heroin within Monongalia County. The operation was conducted from locations in Morgantown and Star City.
Court documents revealed that Allen sourced drugs from California and transported them via FedEx and USPS. Authorities intercepted shipments amounting to nearly 66 pounds of methamphetamine and packages containing cocaine and fentanyl sent from California to Houston.
Post-incarceration, Allen will undergo three years of supervised release. Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley led the prosecution.
The investigation involved multiple agencies including the FBI's Northern West Virginia Drug Task Force and the Mon Metro Drug Task Force. These groups comprise members from several federal and local law enforcement bodies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the Drug Enforcement Administration; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; West Virginia State Police; Monongalia County Sheriff's Office; along with police departments in Morgantown, WVU, Granville, and Star City.
Additional support came from entities like the Monongalia County Prosecutor’s Office; FBI branches in Houston and Los Angeles; Houston Police Department's Multi-Agency Gang Initiative; United States Postal Inspection Service in Houston.
This case forms part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative aimed at targeting top-tier drug traffickers through collaborative efforts across various levels of law enforcement.
