Today, Attorney General Steve Marshall was present as President Donald Trump signed an executive order titled "Keep Men Out of Women’s Sports." The event took place in Washington, D.C.
"Since returning to the White House, President Trump has wasted no time tackling the issues that matter most to the American people. With a single stroke of his pen, he has reversed years of radical and damaging policies," said Attorney General Marshall. He emphasized the importance of protecting opportunities for women in sports, stating, "Americans should not have to worry about their daughters losing out on critical opportunities—whether spots on sports teams, scholarships, or the countless other advantages sports provide. It is simple common sense: Biological males don’t belong on sports fields or in locker rooms with girls. I am proud to have stood beside President Trump as he signed this urgently needed executive order."
Attorney General Marshall has been actively involved in legal actions opposing what he describes as radical gender theory. His efforts include blocking the Biden administration's attempts to expand Title IX regulations that would permit biological males access to female-only spaces such as locker rooms and bathrooms. Additionally, he has led multi-state coalitions in filing amicus briefs supporting state laws that ensure girls' sports teams are reserved for females. Some of these briefs have been presented before the U.S. Supreme Court.
