United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero has announced the sentencing of Tory Garvin, a 49-year-old resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Garvin received a 15-year prison sentence followed by five years of supervised release. This decision was made by United States District Court Judge Wendy Beetlestone.

Garvin faced charges for possessing significant quantities of methamphetamine and unlawfully possessing ammunition as a felon. He was indicted in June 2022 and later pleaded guilty in October to several charges, including distribution and possession with intent to distribute over 50 grams of methamphetamine.

"Tory Garvin was a significant supplier of methamphetamine in Philadelphia, found in possession of about 10 pounds of the drug," stated U.S. Attorney Romero. She emphasized the commitment to bringing justice to those contributing to illegal narcotics distribution, aiming to enhance safety and quality of life in the city.

The investigation was conducted by the DEA and Pennsylvania State Police under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) program. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Timothy Lanni and Angella Middleton.
