Pennington County Mental Health Court graduation set for February 11

The Pennington County Mental Health Court will host a graduation ceremony on February 11, 2025, to honor participants who have successfully completed the program. The event will take place at 3 p.m. MST in Courtroom C5 on the third floor of the Pennington County Courthouse located at 315 St. Joseph St., Rapid City.

The public and media are welcome to attend, and cameras will be allowed. For those unable to be present, the ceremony will be available via live stream at https://www.sd.net/UJSCourt2.

Established in 2019, the Pennington County Mental Health Court provides an alternative to incarceration for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders who are likely to reoffend. The court offers intensive supervision, treatment for substance use and mental health issues, support services, and community-based resources aimed at enhancing participant wellbeing.
