Ohio man receives federal sentence for methamphetamine trafficking

Stephan G. Ward, a 32-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, has been sentenced to 100 months in federal prison for methamphetamine distribution. The sentencing took place in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Court documents revealed that Ward, also known by the alias "YG," was involved in delivering methamphetamine for further distribution within Marshall County. Ward has previous convictions related to drugs and firearms.

After completing his prison term, Ward will be subject to three years of supervised release.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Marshall County Drug Task Force, which is supported by HIDTA funding.

U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
