Human trafficking charges filed against two for allegedly exploiting minors

Two individuals have been indicted on federal human trafficking charges involving minors. The indictment alleges that Roderick Bill Norseweather, 25, and Tajahnae Johnson, 21, recruited two girls aged 14 and 15 for commercial sex acts through force, threats, fraud, and coercion between December 29, 2024, and January 3, 2025.

The accused are charged with sex trafficking of minors and transportation of minors across state lines for illegal sexual activity. Both remain in custody pending trial. If convicted, they face a minimum sentence of 15 years to life imprisonment.

The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez and Raul Bujanda from the FBI Albuquerque Field Office. The case was investigated by the FBI Albuquerque Field Office along with the Albuquerque Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy Trembley is handling the prosecution.
