A man from Lynn has admitted guilt in a federal court in Boston for his involvement in a major drug trafficking operation on the North Shore of Massachusetts. In November 2023, authorities seized millions of doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine-laced pills and powder valued at over $7 million from a stash location and clandestine laboratory used by the organization.

Deiby Felix, aged 41, pleaded guilty to charges including possession with intent to manufacture and distribute significant quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as possession of a firearm related to drug trafficking activities. U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris has set sentencing for May 29, 2025. Felix was arrested alongside Emilio Garcia and Sebastien Bejin in November 2023.

The investigation began following an overdose death in Salem in July 2023, leading investigators to a drug trafficking organization led by Felix, Bejin, and allegedly Garcia. Searches conducted on November 1, 2023, at four locations associated with Bejin and allegedly Garcia resulted in one of the largest seizures of fentanyl and methamphetamine ever recorded in Massachusetts. Among the items confiscated were nine kilograms of pink heart-shaped fentanyl-laced pills resembling candy, additional narcotics, and five firearms. The investigation uncovered over 75 kilograms of fentanyl and methamphetamine along with cocaine and various cutting agents like xylazine.

In total, approximately eight million doses of these drugs were seized with an estimated street value exceeding $8 million.

During a search at Felix's residence, authorities found more than three kilograms of pressed pills containing methamphetamine and fentanyl along with a firearm. A hidden clandestine lab equipped with industrial pill presses was also discovered.

Sebastien Bejin pleaded guilty on January 15, 2025, with sentencing set for May 1, 2025. Emilio Garcia is scheduled to plead guilty on February 7, 2025.

Felix faces severe penalties for his charges which could include up to life imprisonment for both drug-related offenses and firearm possession linked to drug trafficking crimes.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced the developments alongside Jodi Cohen from the FBI's Boston office; Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble from the Massachusetts State Police; Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker; supported by local police departments and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard is handling prosecution efforts.

It should be noted that details within charging documents are allegations until proven beyond reasonable doubt in court.
