Federal authorities have unsealed four indictments in Boston, charging five individuals associated with the Asian Boyz gang. The charges are related to a drug distribution network involving homemade methamphetamine pills, falsely branded as "Adderall."

The individuals arrested include Sovath Yern, known as "Stryke," from Billerica; Owen Landry, known as "Oski"; Zachary Hansen; Scott Fournier, known as "S.G."; and Richard Nguyen, also referred to as "Cheese" or "Cheeseburger," all from Lowell. Each faces multiple counts related to conspiracy and distribution of methamphetamine.

Additionally, an indictment was unsealed against Isiah Lyons, known as "Tank" or "Rozay," who is currently serving a state prison sentence. He will appear in federal court at a later date.

These arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into the Asian Boyz gang that began in 2021. Authorities allege that over 57,000 counterfeit Adderall pills containing more than 18 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized or purchased from the defendants.

Previously, nine members and associates of the gang were arrested in July 2023 for similar offenses involving drug trafficking and illegal firearms. Five have pleaded guilty and await sentencing.

The charges carry severe penalties including sentences ranging from at least five years to life imprisonment and fines up to $10 million. Sentences will be determined by a federal district court judge based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced the arrests alongside Jodi Cohen of the FBI's Boston Division and Greg C. Hudon of the Lowell Police Department. Support was provided by various local police departments across Massachusetts.

This case falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which aims to reduce violent crime through community collaboration and strategic enforcement priorities. It was investigated under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which targets high-level criminal organizations using a multi-agency approach.

The allegations remain accusations until proven otherwise in court.
