Jacksonville, Florida – A multi-convicted felon, James Matthew Doyle, has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for distributing cocaine. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Harvey E. Schlesinger. Doyle, aged 38 and from Fleming Island, entered a guilty plea on May 31, 2024.
Court records reveal that Doyle sold cocaine twice in early 2023 to a confidential source working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and an undercover agent. His criminal history includes multiple felony convictions such as the sale of marijuana and ecstasy, possession of cocaine and methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, grand theft auto, and forging title information.
The case was investigated by the ATF and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brenna Falzetta.
